There can be many different beliefs regarding the word but actuality varies mind to mind.

We are aware that human was super unaware earlier, as it couldn't discriminate between good and bad thing, or we can say good and bad didn't exist earlier. So how can this idea evolve, yes this idea is evolved and hence it was in existence from infinite. As human intelligence was in existence always, it just evolved time to time. There may be super atheist who deny strongly and there may be super faithful people who can not deny the existence of God. Things vary according to their definitions. An Idea just evolves in the mind initially and then it becomes the reality. When we watch the people who deny the existence of God either they are mentally imbalanced or they are super intelligent people because they are denying the existence of someone about whom they don't know. Also there are types of people who strongly believe that there is someone who's continuously helping them and supporting them, the Theists. 

Also there is someone who is confused either there is God or not, who always tries to know and evaluate every experience of him and people and tries to know about reality. The Agnostic.

Agnostics are middle man, or the people with great ability to know. But, they are never going to know the fact because it is the thing having broad area of existence we can't say this is rights this is wrong because at one point it is true and on another it is false. Also we can't say from where the falsehood starts and it is only in end that we can say it is right. Sorry my dear but end doesn't exist. I'm not trying to creat illusion but this is the fact, God is the function of its definitions. So definitions are actualy the independent variables and God has always been the dependent of definitions. That's why in different cultures we watch different faces of God. It may be a stone, a human, a book or anything else having no physical existence. Vedanta says, it is the existence itself but believe that It Is. Atheists always tries to contradict the beliefs of Theists and they become successful but not completely as it doesn't have any end. This is the beauty of existence. Many says God exists because to make this unfold and unimaginable existence there's a need of great mind and consciousness. But this idea can easily be struck down because when we say there is need of someone to creat the existence, also there can be the need to creat the creater itself and hence no relevance. Also when atheist deny its existence and find excuse that there are many types of crimes happen day by day, where is God why don't he/She stop it. Let me make them clear that in broad perspective there is neither good nor bad. Just cause and effect exists and nothing else. Actions always have reactions and again which lead to actions. Cycles are there, infinite flow is there infinite travel is there. Everything was in existence, is in existence and will be in existence. Existence can't disappear. Fundamental knowledge is the strong base to carry large amount of understandings.
