HEY GUYS, WELCOME AGAIN ON YOUR PAGE
WHY MEDITATE
Let me start with my reason. I actually didn't know what I wanted in my life because I'd never thought about it. I realized this in the 5th class when I was asked, "What do you want to become in your life?" and "What's your aim in life?" It was a confusing moment because I hadn't decided yet "what I have to do?" or "why I have to do anything?" At that time, I handled the situation and answered, "Sir, Engineer." I said that because I'd heard the word somewhere and knew that engineers earn a lot. I didn't know anything about the job. The students clapped for me for this aim, which wasn't really mine.
From there, I started thinking and searching for my passion. I started running in the morning, going to the gym, and painting. But perhaps I was searching in the wrong directions. From these experiences, I came to a truth: we don't know the proper definition of interest. Interest in a particular subject isn't a God-gift. Interest isn't from childhood; it has to be developed in a topic you want to pursue or in conditions that direct us.
I know this isn't the answer to the question "why meditate." Since the topic "what is meditation" can take a lot of time, we'll discuss it later. As we all know, we have only one life. Whether you believe in reincarnation or not, I know I have only one life as Rahul. That's why I want to make it an amazing life. But I know that if I want to ride a bike, I need to know its functioning—how it starts, how to accelerate. Similarly, if I want to get full access to my life, no matter in which field I want to excel, I know that meditation is the only way to get more aware and get full access to my life. That's why I've chosen to meditate.
And that's it. Thank you so much again for your precious time. Meet you on MONDAY. We'll proceed further with WHAT IS MEDITATION and HOW TO DO IT... and so on.
